Fieldwork for Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) was concluded

Fieldwork as part of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) in Azerbaijan was concluded on August 16, 2023. The MICS survey was conducted pursuant to the “State Program on Improvement of Official Statistics in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018-2025, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated February 14, 2018, No. 3672. The survey aimed to gather internationally comparable statistical data to assess the social welfare of mothers and children, evaluate human development, and measure progress towards the targets set forth as part of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Fieldwork for the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey has started in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

On June 20, 2023, fieldwork commenced for the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The survey will be conducted in the field and will be carried out by two teams. Each team consists of six members: one supervisor, four interviewers, and one measurer. Therefore, a total of 12 staff members were involved in the fieldwork in the Autonomous Republic, and three reserve staff members were involved as well. All staff members participated in fieldwork training held in the Autonomous Republic from May 18 to June 17 of the current year.

The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) is scheduled to be conducted from June through August 2023 in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to obtain internationally comparable statistical data for assessing the social welfare of mothers and children, human development, and measuring the progress in achieving targets set by the Sustainable Development Goals.

Fieldwork on the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey has been started

On May 8 of this year, the main fieldwork, conduction of surveys on-site, has been started as part of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). The survey will cover the entire territory of the country, excluding the East Zangazur economic region, and will be conducted among 12,320 households across 616 clusters.

As part of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) scheduled to take place in May-July 2023 in our country with a view to obtain internationally comparable statistical data to assess the social welfare of mothers and children, evaluate human development, and measure progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, the “Main Fieldwork Trainings” have been completed.

On May-July 2023, the Multi-Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) will be undertaken in the Republic of Azerbaijan to collect internationally comparable statistical data for assessing the social well-being of mothers and children, human development, and measuring the progress towards the targets underpinning Sustainable Development Goals.
