"As part of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) scheduled to take place in May-July 2023 in our country with a view to obtain internationally comparable statistical data to assess the social welfare of mothers and children, evaluate human development, and measure progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, the “Main Fieldwork Trainings” have been completed.

"During the one-month training, which commenced on April 3, the individuals involved in the survey received training from both foreign and local experts on various tasks including filling out MICS questionnaires (“Individual Questionnaire for Women”, “Questionnaire for Children Under Five”, “Questionnaire for Children Aged 5-17”, and “Questionnaire for Households”), conducting interviews with household members, implementing CAPI, measuring height and weight of children, testing water quality, iodine level in salt, and addressing other relevant issues, the testing of the questionnaires and conduction of pilot surveys were held through participation of trainees. The training was also attended by the representatives of relevant state institutions (Ministries of Health, Justice, Internal Affairs, Energy, Science and Education, Labor and Social Protection of the Population, State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, Food Safety Agency, State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, "Azersu" OJSC), who clarified the questions included in the questionnaires related to various fields and explained the terms and concepts.

"Following the completion of the training, the teams who will be carrying out the main fieldwork, specifically conducting surveys on-site, were determined.
