"On May 8 of this year, the main fieldwork, conduction of surveys on-site, has been started as part of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS). The survey will cover the entire territory of the country, excluding the East Zangazur economic region, and will be conducted among 12,320 households across 616 clusters.

"A total of 14 teams have been assigned to conduct the fieldwork, with 2 of those teams operating in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. Each team is composed of 6 members: 1 supervisor, 4 interviewers, and 1 measurer. Overall, 84 staff members are involved in the fieldwork. The teams are equipped with the necessary tools for measuring height and weight of children, conducting water quality tests, checking iodine level in salt, and etc.

"The survey will be conducted on 4 standard questionnaires: Individual Questionnaire for Women, Questionnaire for Children Under Five, Questionnaire for Children Age 5-17, and Questionnaire for Households. Additionally, the “Water Quality Testing Questionnaire” is applied as a supplement to the “Questionnaire for Households”, and the “Questionnaire Form for Vaccination Records at Health Facilities” as a supplement for the “Questionnaire for Children Under Five”.

"Information on the “Questionnaire Form for Vaccination Records at Health Facility” will be filled in by referring to relevant documents in health facilities where children under two years of age from the household are registered.

"As a result of the survey, internationally comparable statistical data will be obtained to assess the social welfare of mothers and children in the country, evaluate human development, and measure progress towards the SustainableDevelopment Goals.

"Fieldwork is envisaged to be completed within 3 months.

"In the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, fieldwork will take place in June 18-July 31 of the current year.
